Here's everything you need to get ready for your trip

Getting to San Miguel de Allende
-
You can fly into Queretaro (QRO), Leon (BJX) or Mexico City (MEX) airports
-
We recommend shared shuttle or private car service from any of these airports via BajioGo San Miguel | Tours Travel Transportation | BajioGo Concierge
Driving & Parking in San Miguel
-
Driving and parking in SMA can be a challenge. The roads are very narrow, cobblestone roads and many in the city are one way roads. Traffic can be pretty crazy!
-
There is no designated parking for Casa Illuminada. Street parking near the house is extremely scarce and the closest paid parking is about ½ mile or 800 m from the house
Getting around once you are in San Miguel
-
Uber is readily available in San Miguel
-
There are also many taxis available and many operators speak both Spanish and English
-
Taxis from the center of town to Casa Illuminada should cost about $60 pesos ($3.00 US)
-
Buses are available for longer trips such as going to Guanajuato for the day and there are several tour operators in the city.
-
Again, BajioGo is a reputable operator and great source for getting you where you want to go
